Serialized in the mid-1970s, this manga adaptation of Ultraman Taro was illustrated by Ken Ishikawa, a pivotal figure in the manga industry known for his dark, kinetic, and highly stylized work. Created to coincide with the broadcast of the Tsuburaya Productions television series, the manga sought to capture the high-stakes action of the kaiju genre while translating the television show's episodic narrative into a dynamic print format.
