Vanitas no Carte

Vanitas no Carte, known internationally as The Case Study of Vanitas, began serialization in Square Enix's Monthly Gangan Joker in late 2015. Created by mangaka Jun Mochizuki following the conclusion of her highly acclaimed series Pandora Hearts, this work draws deeply from 19th-century French gothic aesthetics and steampunk elements. Mochizuki intended to explore themes of identity, memory, and the blurred lines between human and vampire, grounding the supernatural premise in the richly detailed, stylized atmosphere of an alternate-history Paris.
