Watashi no Hatsukoi wa Hazukashisugite Darenimo Ienai

Watashi no Hatsukoi wa Hazukashisugite Darenimo Ienai, translated as My First Love is Too Embarrassing to Tell Anyone, is a light novel series authored by Tsukasa Fushimi. Published in the early 2000s, this work serves as an early example of Fushimi's career, preceding his later, globally recognized contributions to the light novel medium such as Oreimo. The series was designed to fit the standard light novel aesthetic of its era, catering to readers who enjoyed character-driven romantic comedies with a focus on adolescent self-consciousness.

The illustrations for the series were provided by Hiro Kanzaki, a frequent collaborator of Fushimi. Kanzaki's clean, expressive character designs were intended to capture the awkwardness and charm of the protagonists, establishing a visual identity that aligns with the contemporary 'moe' style prevalent in the industry at that time. While the series remains a niche entry in Fushimi's bibliography compared to his blockbuster hits, it is regarded by dedicated collectors as an important look into the author's formative storytelling style.
