World Destruction ~Futari no Tenshi~

World Destruction ~Futari no Tenshi~ was published as a manga adaptation tied to the 2008 multimedia project World Destruction, known in the West as Sands of Destruction. The project was conceived by SEGA as an ambitious cross-media initiative, featuring a video game, an anime series, and this manga, all centered on a fantastical world dominated by beastmen where humans are kept in subjugation. The manga served to expand upon the lore established by the game's writers, aiming to provide a deeper exploration of the characters and the oppressive atmosphere of the setting.

The illustrative style for this adaptation reflects the aesthetic trends of late 2000s shonen manga, focusing on dynamic action sequences and expressive character designs that align with the visual language of the accompanying anime. While the franchise was marketed with significant fanfare, the manga exists as a supplementary piece intended for established fans of the series. It is noted primarily for its role in rounding out the narrative scope of the World Destruction universe, serving as a functional piece of the broader promotional strategy SEGA employed during the series' initial release.
