Where it came from
Zenbu, Hajimete. was created by the shojo manga artist Mitsuki Kako and serialized in the Japanese manga magazine Sho-Comi. Reflecting the quintessential aesthetic of contemporary teen romance manga, the series explores the delicate emotional growth and burgeoning relationships of its young protagonists. Kako is well-regarded for her ability to capture the nuance of 'firsts'—the moments of discovery and vulnerability that define adolescence—packaging these themes in the polished, expressive visual style characteristic of the genre during the early 2010s.
The series was published as a collected tankobon volume to cater to a demographic of young adult readers who appreciate heartfelt, narrative-driven romance. Its design and visual composition rely on Kako’s signature clean line work and detailed character expressions, which focus on intimate, character-driven storytelling rather than expansive world-building. Upon release, the volume was received as a grounded contribution to the shojo genre, praised by readers for its sincere exploration of teenage intimacy and the straightforward, earnest tone that Mitsuki Kako maintains throughout her body of work.
