Where it came from
The Chimpanana figure, a key release in the Alpha series, reflects the Soil Smashers team's signature blend of surreal character design and rugged, utilitarian aesthetics. Produced as part of a limited run intended to explore the intersection of organic form and industrial modularity, the piece draws heavily from mid-century pop-surrealist movements that emphasized tactile, stylized anatomy.
The design of the Chimpanana was conceptualized by the core artistic team behind the Soil Smashers, who sought to challenge traditional mascot tropes by merging whimsical subject matter with a refined, matte-finish production process. Upon its debut, the figure was noted by design critics for its unique silhouette and dense material composition, earning a dedicated following among collectors who prioritize sculptural integrity over conventional action-figure articulation.
