Where it came from
Released as part of the ST-13 Three Brothers Starter Deck in the One Piece Card Game, this event card commemorates the emotional climax of the Marineford arc. It illustrates the pivotal moment where Sabo intervenes, drawing upon the narrative weight of his reunion with Luffy and the legacy of Ace. The card design utilizes high-contrast artwork to emphasize the intensity of the scene, serving both a functional role in gameplay and a thematic nod to the series' most resonant memories.
The card was developed by the creative team at Bandai as part of the meta-defining red and black color deck archetype. By featuring key emotional beats from the source material, the design team aimed to bridge the gap between competitive play and fan service. It was received positively by the player base for its strategic versatility and its evocative visual representation of Sabo's protective bond with his brother.
