Cross Guild

The Cross Guild event card was introduced in the OP-09 expansion, titled Emperors in the New World, for the One Piece Card Game. This set focuses on the shift in power dynamics following the Wano Country arc, specifically highlighting the formation of the Cross Guild, an organization led by Buggy the Clown with support from former Warlords Sir Crocodile and Dracule Mihawk. The card reflects the unique thematic narrative of the series where the World Government finds itself threatened by the alliance of these notorious pirates.

The card features dynamic, high-contrast artwork characteristic of the modern Bandai One Piece aesthetic, emphasizing the formidable visual presence of the organization's leaders. Designers aimed to translate the guild's notoriety and organizational structure into a tactical gameplay mechanic, allowing players to leverage the strength of the individual characters in their deck. Upon its release, the card was received as a essential utility for players building decks around the Cross Guild archetype, valued for its ability to integrate specific character interactions.
