Eustass"Captain"Kid (Promotion Pack 2022)

The P-003 Eustass 'Captain' Kid promotional card was released in 2022 as part of the early distribution efforts for the One Piece Card Game. These cards were primarily disseminated through organized play events and retail promotion campaigns in Japan, serving as an incentive to draw players into the then-nascent trading card game ecosystem. As one of the earliest cards produced for the Supernova-themed sets, it acted as a promotional piece to showcase the game's mechanics and the aggressive visual style of the characters from the Wano Country and Sabaody Archipelago arcs.

The card features artwork consistent with the character design of Eustass Kid, highlighting his metal-manipulating powers and his infamous, defiant persona. The design aesthetic reflects the high-contrast, kinetic energy typical of the One Piece Card Game’s illustrative direction, which prioritizes bold line work and vibrant, often dark color palettes to mirror the intensity of the source material. Within the competitive community, the card is recognized for its utility in early meta builds, and it is viewed as a piece of inaugural history for the game's promotional card library.
