Where it came from
The For Fun event card was released as part of the Azure Sea's Seven expansion, a set centered on the lore of nautical explorers and maritime legends. This card was designed to reflect the whimsical, exploratory nature of the set's central characters, serving as a tactical utility piece within the game's broader mechanical framework.
The illustrative work for the card was created by the franchise's long-term lead design team, who aimed to capture a sense of lighthearted adventure through a distinct, vibrant art style. Upon its release, it was noted by players for its unconventional effect, which emphasizes the strategic priority of momentum over defensive play within the established ruleset.
