Gear Two (Alternate Art)

The Gear Two (Alternate Art) card, numbered OP11-080 from the A Fist of Divine Speed set, represents a pivotal aesthetic interpretation of Monkey D. Luffy’s signature transformation from the One Piece Card Game. Released during the eleventh expansion, the card serves as a high-rarity collectible designed to celebrate the kinetic, high-energy evolution of Luffy’s combat style. The artwork emphasizes the steam-shrouded, red-tinted aesthetic associated with the Gear Two technique, balancing aggressive character posing with the vibrant, stylized framing characteristic of contemporary trading card game design.

The design of this alternate art variation leans heavily into the source material’s animation style, utilizing expressive line work and bold color saturation to appeal to both competitive players and series enthusiasts. By featuring exclusive, non-standard character art, this iteration is positioned as a chase card within the set. It was received by the community as a desirable piece of memorabilia, often sought after for its thematic accuracy and the prestige associated with its limited-run alternate art treatment.
