Hannyabal

Hannyabal is a character card from the One Piece Card Game, appearing as part of the 'Awakening of the New Era' expansion, specifically marked with the set code OP05 (though colloquially categorized within the broader Fist of Divine Speed meta-context). The card features the Vice Warden of Impel Down, capturing his ambitious and theatrical personality as depicted in Eiichiro Oda’s long-running manga series. This set was designed to integrate characters from the Impel Down and Wano Country arcs into the game’s strategic engine, emphasizing the complex power dynamics between the protagonists and the correctional staff of the underwater prison.

The card’s illustration reflects the art direction consistent with the One Piece trading card line, which sources key animation frames or manga panels to maintain visual fidelity with the original source material. As a character card, Hannyabal is balanced to support specific deck archetypes that utilize the Impel Down trait. Upon its release, it was received as a functional utility piece for players focusing on board control, celebrated more for its tactical utility in specific color-coded strategies than as a high-value collector's rarity.
