Helmeppo

The Helmeppo character card (OP13-036) was released as part of the Carrying On His Will set, which served as a commemorative collection for the third anniversary of the One Piece Card Game. This set was designed to celebrate the milestone by highlighting various supporting characters who have evolved significantly throughout the series' narrative. The card features Helmeppo in his post-timeskip Marine uniform, reflecting his growth from a cowardly sycophant into a capable, disciplined officer within the organization.

The illustration maintains the visual consistency established by the Bandai Namco design team for the One Piece Trading Card Game, utilizing a high-contrast style that emphasizes the character's signature angular features and determined expression. The card was received by the player base as a niche tactical inclusion, valued primarily for its specific synergy within the game's competitive mechanics rather than its rarity. It represents the broader design philosophy of the anniversary sets, which aimed to give mechanical utility to characters that had previously occupied peripheral roles in the game's meta.
