Jesus Burgess

The Jesus Burgess card (OP16-107) was released as part of the 'The Time of Battle' event promotion for the One Piece Card Game. This set was designed to engage the competitive community, featuring characters central to the series' ongoing narrative arcs. The card depicts Jesus Burgess, a prominent member of the Blackbeard Pirates, rendered in the high-contrast, dynamic art style characteristic of the One Piece trading card series, which emphasizes the intensity of the character’s physical power and villainous persona.

The design of this release reflects the broader aesthetic direction of the game, which balances tactical utility with illustrative fidelity to Eiichiro Oda’s source material. As a character card within the OP16 series, it serves as a functional piece for deck construction while simultaneously acting as a collectible memento of the specific tournament events held during that phase of the game’s life cycle. It was received by the player base as a sought-after inclusion, noted for its specific synergy within Blackbeard-themed decks and its distinct visual representation of the character's post-time-skip appearance.
