Provenance

Where it came from

Released as part of the Awakening of the New Era 1st Anniversary Tournament promotional set in 2023, this card commemorates the first year of the One Piece Card Game. It was distributed specifically to participants and high-ranking players within the organized play circuit, designed to celebrate the milestone while reinforcing the game's competitive momentum. The card features an intense illustration capturing the high-stakes drama central to the series' narrative.

The design draws directly from the iconic manga aesthetic, prioritizing the visceral kinetic energy characteristic of Eiichiro Oda’s storytelling. By utilizing a high-contrast art style, the illustrators aimed to heighten the sense of conflict inherent in the 'Violence' thematic title. Upon its release, it was well-received by the player base for its rarity and its status as a collector-focused artifact that bridges the gap between functional game pieces and commemorative art.
