Where it came from
Released as part of the Awakening of the New Era (OP-05) set for the One Piece Card Game, this event card features imagery of Eustass Kid from the Wano Country Arc. The set was designed to celebrate the first anniversary of the game's English release, focusing on key narrative milestones and iconic character moments from Eiichiro Oda's original manga series.
The card's design emphasizes the chaotic energy of the Wano conflict, utilizing the game's standardized card layout while incorporating dramatic, high-contrast action art typical of the series' aesthetic. Like many cards in the OP-05 set, it was created to balance competitive utility with narrative storytelling, serving as a tactical card that allows players to exert pressure on the board in alignment with Kid’s aggressive combat style.
