Marshall.D.Teach

Marshall D. Teach, also known as Blackbeard, is a central antagonist in the long-running One Piece franchise, created by Eiichiro Oda. The ST-27 Starter Deck, released in 2024 as part of the One Piece Card Game, features this character as a key component of a black-colored deck. This specific card, ST27-005, reflects the mechanical design philosophy of the game’s black faction, which focuses on board control, resource management, and the manipulation of character costs to hinder opponents.

The card’s design draws heavily from the source material, capturing Teach’s chaotic and power-hungry nature during his rise as a Yonko. The illustration and ability set were crafted by Bandai to emphasize his role as a disruption-based leader, aiming to replicate his treacherous combat style from the manga. The set was generally well-received by the competitive community for providing a focused, entry-level strategy that highlights the darker thematic elements of the series.
