Marshall.D.Teach

The Marshall D. Teach card (OP09-081) from the ST-27 set was released as part of the One Piece Card Game's ninth main expansion, The Four Emperors. Released in late 2024, the card serves as a centerpiece for the Black-colored deck archetype, specifically designed to capture the antagonistic and disruptive nature of the character known as Blackbeard. The artwork focuses on Teach’s menacing presence and his utilization of the Yami Yami no Mi powers, reflecting the game's intent to translate his chaotic narrative role into a high-risk, high-reward mechanical playstyle.

The design of the card emphasizes the signature aesthetic established for the Four Emperors set, featuring the distinct layout and color-coded card frame characteristic of the series. Illustrators collaborated to ensure the character's portrayal aligned with the high-stakes, dramatic visual language of the manga. Upon its release, the card was widely received by competitive players for its unique ability to manipulate character costs and board states, quickly establishing itself as a foundational card for tactical deck construction within the current meta.
