Marshall.D.Teach (Manga)

The Marshall D. Teach card, identified as OP09-093, debuted as part of the 'Emperors in the New World' expansion for the One Piece Card Game. Released as part of the ninth main booster set, this card depicts the antagonist in his post-timeskip appearance, drawing directly from Eiichiro Oda’s manga illustrations. The set focuses on the power players dominating the grand line, and this specific card reflects the character's status as a Yonko.

The design emphasizes the raw, chaotic power associated with the Blackbeard Pirates, utilizing the high-contrast aesthetic typical of the game's high-rarity character cards. As with other cards in the OP09 set, the artistic direction aimed to capture the intensity of the source material while maintaining the card game's signature layout. It was received by players and collectors as a vital component for black-color decks, noted for its thematic alignment with the character's manipulative and opportunistic nature within the series lore.
