Monkey.D.Luffy (Parallel)

The Monkey D. Luffy (OP01-024) Parallel card was released as part of the inaugural One Piece Card Game set, Romance Dawn, which launched in late 2022. This set served as the foundational release for the English-language version of the game, designed to capitalize on the enduring global popularity of Eiichiro Oda’s long-running manga series. The card was created to serve as a high-rarity chase item for collectors, featuring distinct foil treatments and alternate artwork that set it apart from standard tournament-grade cards.

The design of the Parallel variant reflects the iconic aesthetic established by the Toei Animation style guide. By utilizing a stylized, dynamic depiction of the protagonist, the card aims to evoke the adventurous spirit of the series' early chapters. Upon its release, the card was received with significant enthusiasm by the trading card community, largely due to its status as a foundational piece for players and investors attempting to complete the first set of the modern era of the game.
