Provenance

Where it came from

Musshuru, a character originating from the 2008 One Piece film 'Episode of Chopper: Plus in the Desert of Winter', was introduced as the primary antagonist of the movie. The card OP08-011, part of the 'Two Legends' [OP-08] set for the One Piece Card Game, commemorates his inclusion in the series' expanded roster. His design reflects the film's specific narrative focus on Dr. Kureha and Chopper, portraying him with his distinct Mushu-Mushu no Mi ability that allows him to absorb fungal matter to augment his physical size and strength.

The card was released as part of the broader efforts by Bandai to integrate characters from various One Piece films and spin-off media into the tactical card game environment. Designed with the specific gameplay mechanics associated with the set's thematic balance, the artwork captures his monstrous, transformed state from the movie's climax. As a character card in the 'Two Legends' set, it serves as a piece for collectors interested in the deeper, non-canon cinematic history of the franchise's long-running aesthetic.
