Provenance

Where it came from

New Kama Land (OP02-070) was released in 2022 as part of the Paramount War expansion for the One Piece Card Game. This set was designed to reflect the high-stakes conflict at Marineford, drawing inspiration from the iconic battle depicted in the source manga and anime series. The card represents the trans-human paradise located within Impel Down, serving as a tactical stage card that allows players to manipulate the battlefield by cycling cards and adjusting the power levels of their characters.

The visual design of the card captures the vibrant, eccentric aesthetic associated with the character Emporio Ivankov and the Kamabakka Kingdom. As a stage card, it functions as a persistent utility for the player, reflecting the strategic importance of this location during the Impel Down arc. The card was well-received by the competitive community upon release for its ability to provide consistent card advantage, cementing its place as a staple utility piece in purple-focused decks during the early years of the game's life cycle.
