Where it came from
Pincers (OP15-013) is a character card featured in the Adventure on Kami's Island expansion. Designed to fit within the set's thematic exploration of the island's unique fauna, the card illustrates the titular creature, a crustacean-like inhabitant known for its defensive temperament. The artwork emphasizes a vibrant, high-contrast aesthetic consistent with the set's broader art direction, which aimed to distinguish the island's wildlife from the core game's traditional mechanical or humanoid units.
Upon release, the card was integrated into mid-tier competitive decks due to its specific ability to interact with water-based terrain effects. While it is not considered a marquee collectible, it is noted by players for its technical utility and the clean composition of its digital illustration. The card serves as a representative example of the world-building efforts undertaken by the development team to create a cohesive ecosystem within the Kami's Island narrative arc.
