Portgas.D.Ace

The Portgas D. Ace character card (OP16-094) from the 'The Time of Battle' expansion is part of the ongoing One Piece Card Game, which was launched by Bandai in 2022 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Eiichiro Oda's manga. This specific card represents a tactical iteration of one of the series' most beloved characters, designed to integrate into the game's evolving competitive meta by leveraging mechanics tied to the character's signature flame-based abilities and history within the Whitebeard Pirates.

The artwork follows the standardized aesthetic established for the TCG, which draws heavily from the original manga illustrations while utilizing high-contrast digital coloring to suit the dynamic layout of the game board. As a character card in the OP16 set, it was developed by Bandai's design team to reflect the intensity of the series' narrative arcs, aiming to balance thematic accuracy with the strategic requirements of the trading card game format. It has been received as a functional staple for players focusing on red-aligned deck strategies.
