Saldeath

Saldeath, as featured in the OP11-064 card from the 'A Fist of Divine Speed' set, draws from the One Piece Card Game's ongoing expansion of the Impel Down arc. The character, known for his role as a warden in the underwater prison, was adapted for the game to provide utility for decks focused on the prison-themed synergies. His design emphasizes his distinct uniform and the staff he wields in the series, maintaining consistency with the art style established by the card game's creative team to ensure mechanical and visual cohesion within the set.

The 'A Fist of Divine Speed' set was released to broaden the strategic options for players utilizing the Impel Down and Jailer Beast archetypes. The illustration captures Saldeath's menacing yet controlled demeanor, reflecting his established personality from Eiichiro Oda's original manga. Upon its release, the card was received as a functional, mid-tier character card, valued primarily for its specific role in supporting thematic deck builds rather than its competitive dominance.
