Shirahoshi (Alternate Art)

The Shirahoshi character card from the Legacy of the Master expansion set serves as a highly detailed contribution to the One Piece Card Game. Released as part of the game's ongoing efforts to adapt Eiichiro Oda’s long-running manga series, this specific alternate art iteration celebrates the character’s design as the Mermaid Princess of Ryugu Kingdom. The card reflects the game's broader aesthetic, which prioritizes vibrant, high-fidelity illustrations that capture the emotional depth and distinctive character archetypes central to the source material.

The alternate art variant is distinguished by its unique foil treatment and artistic composition, which sets it apart from standard base-set versions. Designers within the card game's creative team utilize these variants to appeal to collectors, emphasizing intricate linework and color palettes that mirror the underwater setting of Fish-Man Island. Upon its release, the card was well-received by players and collectors alike, noted for its aesthetic value and its specific utility within various blue-aligned character decks.
