Sugar

Released in 2023 as part of the Kingdoms of Intrigue [OP04] expansion for the One Piece Card Game, this card depicts the character Sugar from the Dressrosa arc. The expansion was designed to focus heavily on the complex political landscape and various factions involved in the Straw Hat Pirates' struggle against Donquixote Doflamingo. The card reflects Sugar's pivotal role as the member of the Donquixote Pirates capable of turning people into toys, serving as a tactical control piece within the game's mechanics.

The artwork follows the established aesthetic of the One Piece trading card series, which utilizes high-contrast character art designed to balance functionality with thematic narrative. Sugar is illustrated in her characteristic attire, maintaining the visual consistency expected of the set's Rare and Uncommon tiers. Upon release, the card was analyzed by the player community for its utility in 'Donquixote Doflamingo' themed decks, where its ability to manipulate the board state provided a specific strategic edge that aligned with its canonical power to shift the fortunes of the kingdom.
