Surume

Surume, identified as OP11-032, was released as part of the -A FIST OF DIVINE SPEED- set, the eleventh booster expansion for the One Piece Card Game. The card features the colossal Kraken character, Surume, who serves as a loyal companion to the Straw Hat Pirates during the Fish-Man Island arc. This set was designed to integrate specific narrative elements from the series' post-timeskip adventures, providing players with new character synergies and tactical options rooted in the lore of the deep sea.

The card’s design adheres to the established visual aesthetic of the One Piece Card Game, prioritizing dynamic illustrations that highlight the immense scale of the character. Illustrators for the series typically work to capture the personality of the subject while maintaining consistency with the long-running manga style. Upon release, this character card was positioned to support niche deck builds centered around animal-type or water-themed archetypes, meeting the expectations of players who value thematic deck construction.
