Where it came from
The Wyper character card (OP15-114) from the Adventure on Kami's Island expansion is a strategic addition to the One Piece Card Game, representing the Skypiea arc’s resilient warrior. Released to broaden the tactical options for Yellow decks, the card features the distinct, gritty character design of Wyper as he appears during the battle for the Upper Yard, emphasizing his role as a relentless combatant fighting for his ancestral heritage.
The alternate art variant was crafted to appeal to collectors who prioritize aesthetic narrative, utilizing a dynamic illustration that captures the character's signature intensity and the unique atmosphere of the Sky Island setting. Like other high-rarity alternate arts in this series, it was received by the player base as a standout piece for its visual departure from standard set imagery, effectively blending functional card game utility with high-quality tribute art to the original manga source material.
