X.Drake (Alternate Art)

The X.Drake (OP05-055) card was released in 2023 as part of the Awakening of the New Era set for the One Piece Card Game. This specific iteration features an alternate art illustration that highlights the character’s transformation ability, a nod to his role as a member of the Worst Generation and his position as a captain in the Animal Kingdom Pirates. The design leans into the dramatic, dark aesthetic associated with his Devil Fruit powers, distinguishing it from the standard card variants found in the base set.

The Awakening of the New Era set was designed to expand the competitive landscape of the game, introducing new archetypes and synergies that shifted the meta at the time of its release. The alternate art series within this set was commissioned to appeal to collectors, utilizing high-contrast illustrations and premium foiling techniques to elevate the visual storytelling. These cards were generally well-received by the player community for their artistic quality and the thematic depth they brought to the character roster of the Wano Country arc.
