Hound Blaze

Hound Blaze was introduced in the fifth expansion set of the One Piece Card Game, titled Awakening of the New Era, released in 2023. This set was designed to celebrate the milestone of the game's first anniversary, drawing heavily from the Wano Country and Dressrosa story arcs. The event card depicts a fiery combat maneuver used by characters associated with the animal-themed abilities prevalent in the series, capturing the high-stakes, action-oriented aesthetic that defines the card game’s art direction.

The card was illustrated to reflect the dynamic energy of the source material, emphasizing the intensity of combat encounters in the One Piece universe. In the context of the game's mechanics, Hound Blaze serves as a versatile utility card, and its inclusion in the set was part of a broader effort to expand the strategic options for Red-aligned decks. Like much of the artwork in the OP-05 set, the design adheres to the established visual language of the franchise, focusing on bold action poses and vibrant, saturated color palettes that appeal to both competitive players and collectors of the series' iconography.
