Where it came from
The Yamato (EB02-006) card originates from the One Piece Card Game's Extra Booster set, Anime 25th Collection, released to commemorate a quarter-century of the long-running manga and anime franchise. This specific release was designed to celebrate iconic characters through elevated, alternate-art treatments, catering to both competitive players and series enthusiasts who value high-quality illustration.
The card features artwork capturing Yamato in a distinct, emotive style, consistent with the set's focus on aesthetic flair. The design utilizes the standard frame architecture of the Bandai-developed game, ensuring mechanical compatibility, while the high-rarity art treatment distinguishes it as a collector-focused piece. It was well-received upon launch for its vibrant depiction of a fan-favorite character and its relatively limited pull rate within the booster packs.
