Provenance

Where it came from

Brigette was released in 2015 as part of the Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion titled BREAKthrough. This set was notable for introducing the BREAK Evolution mechanic, which featured cards that could be played horizontally over a base Pokémon to increase their health and unlock unique attacks. Brigette serves as a Supporter card, an essential category within the game’s mechanics designed to help players set up their board state by searching their deck for specific Basic Pokémon to bring into play.

The card’s illustration was crafted by artist Kanako Eo, who has contributed extensively to the Pokémon TCG aesthetic. The design captures the character Brigette, who is recognized in the franchise lore as the creator of the Pokémon Storage System. The card was received positively by the competitive community upon its debut, as its ability to search for multiple Basic Pokémon proved to be a highly effective tool for consistent deck thinning and rapid deployment of key strategic assets.
