Elekid

Elekid 059/182 was released in the Paradox Rift expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, which debuted in late 2023. This set is notable for introducing the Ancient and Future categories to the Scarlet & Violet series, drawing inspiration from the time-travel themes present in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet video games. As a common card, it was designed to be accessible to players and collectors alike, fitting into the broader ecosystem of cards that emphasize the interplay between the elemental types and the new battle mechanics introduced during this era.

The artwork for this card was created by artist kurumitsu, who is well-regarded in the community for a clean, vibrant style that often emphasizes the personality of the Pokémon. In this illustration, Elekid is depicted in a playful, energetic pose that aligns with its established lore as a high-voltage, mischievous creature. The design reflects the modern aesthetic of the Scarlet & Violet block, utilizing clean lines and bright, bold colors to make the character pop against the backdrop of the card frame, consistent with the high production standards of the current game cycle.
