Where it came from
Girafarig, card 066/162, was released as part of the Temporal Forces expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, which debuted in early 2024. As a Psychic-type common card, it serves as a standard playable entry in the Scarlet & Violet series, reflecting the game's ongoing focus on introducing Paldean-era Pokémon alongside classic species. The expansion draws heavily from the Paradox Pokémon themes explored in the Generation IX video games.
The artwork for this card was illustrated by Kagemaru Himeno, a veteran contributor to the Pokémon TCG known for her soft, expressive style. Himeno captures Girafarig in a dynamic yet naturalistic pose that highlights the dual-headed nature of the creature. Within the competitive landscape of the game, this card is primarily utilized by collectors and casual players for deck building, adhering to the standard card stock and design specifications established for modern releases.
