What it does
You can play only one Supporter card each turn. When you play this card, put it next to your Active Pokémon. When your turn ends, discard this card.
Search your discard pile for 2 different Trainer, Supporter, or Stadium cards, show them to your opponent, and your opponent chooses 1 of them. Put that card into your hand, and discard the other card. (If all Trainer, Supporter, and Stadium cards in your discard pile have the same name, choose 1 of them. Show that card to your opponent and put it into your hand.)

Where it came from
Marley's Request was released in 2008 as part of the Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion titled Stormfront. This set marked a significant moment in the franchise, as it was the final set in the Diamond & Pearl Series, bridging the transition toward the Platinum Series. The card is a Trainer card, specifically categorized as a Supporter, which reflects the tactical focus of the late 2000s competitive play environment where card draw and deck thinning were essential mechanics.
The card features artwork by illustrator Ken Sugimori, whose distinctive style is synonymous with the core visual identity of the Pokémon franchise. Sugimori’s design approach for this card emphasizes utility and clarity, utilizing a clean aesthetic typical of the era's Trainer cards. Upon its release, it was regarded as a standard uncommon inclusion, appreciated by players for its functional contribution to deck consistency rather than for its collectible rarity or visual complexity.
