What it does
If the Pokémon using this attack has Fire and Lightning basic Energy cards attached to it, the Defending Pokémon is now Confused. If the Pokémon using this attack has Fire and Fighting basic Energy cards attached to it, this attack does 30 damage plus 10 more damage and remove 3 damage counters from the Pokémon that Miracle Plate α is attached to.
Attach this card to 1 of your Evolved Fire, Lightning, or Fighting Pokémon in play. That Pokémon may use this card's attack instead of its own. At the end of your turn, discard Miracle Plate α.

Where it came from
Miracle Sphere α was released in 2003 as part of the Skyridge expansion, the final set of the Pokémon Trading Card Game produced by Wizards of the Coast before the license transitioned to The Pokémon Company International. This card is a Trainer card within the 'Crystal' era of the game, a period noted for its distinct aesthetic shifts and the introduction of complex card mechanics designed to challenge the established tournament meta.
The card was designed to reflect the technological and mysterious aesthetic common to the late E-Card series, utilizing the dot-code scanning technology intended for the Nintendo e-Reader peripheral. While the illustration maintains the typical style of the era's freelance illustrators, it is valued by collectors today primarily as a quintessential piece of the closing chapter of the Wizards of the Coast era, marking a transition point in the historical design trajectory of the franchise.
