What it does
Search your deck for a Stadium card, show it to your opponent, and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward. If there is any Stadium card in play, discard it.
You may flip a coin. If heads, discard all Energy attached to Palkia and put the Defending Pokémon and all cards attached to it on top of your opponent's deck. Your opponent shuffles his or her deck afterward.
It has the ability to distort space. It is described as a deity in Sinnoh-region mythology.

Where it came from
Released in February 2008, the Great Encounters expansion marked the fourth set in the Diamond & Pearl Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. This set was designed to integrate the powerful Legendary Pokémon of the Sinnoh region, specifically focusing on the mythos established in the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl video games. Palkia, the Spatial Pokémon, was featured prominently to reflect its role as the mascot of the Pearl version and its mastery over space.
The card artwork was illustrated by Ryo Ueda, a long-time contributor to the franchise known for a dynamic, often painterly style that emphasizes the scale and elemental aura of Legendary Pokémon. Within the competitive landscape of the time, this card was recognized for its strategic utility, particularly its ability to manipulate the bench and apply pressure as a Water-type attacker. It remains a notable piece for collectors focusing on the transition period between the early mechanical eras of the game.
