Pupitar

The Pupitar card, numbered 120/215 within the Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos series, was released as a promotional item to support the expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It was designed to provide players and collectors with an accessible version of the Rock Skin Pokémon, bridging the gap between standard set releases and specialized promotional offerings. Like other cards in the Black Star Promos line, it features unique numbering that distinguishes it from the core expansion sets, though it adheres to the established visual design standards of the generation.

The artwork for this card follows the contemporary aesthetic of the Scarlet & Violet era, which emphasizes vibrant color palettes and dynamic character poses. As a Fighting-type card, its design focuses on reflecting Pupitar's armored, resilient nature through stark lines and textured shading. Upon its release, it was well-received by the collecting community for its status as a collectible promo, frequently distributed through organized play events or bundled with specific TCG product merchandise to incentivize participation in the broader Pokémon ecosystem.
