What it does
As long as Scizor ex's remaining HP is 60 or less, Scizor ex does 40 more damage to the Defending Pokémon (before applying Weakness and Resistance).
During your opponent's next turn, any damage done to Scizor ex by attacks is reduced by 20 (after applying Weakness and Resistance).
If the Defending Pokémon is an Evolved Pokémon, this attack does 50 damage plus 30 more damage.
When Pokémon-ex has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Where it came from
The Scizor ex card was released as part of the Pokémon Trading Card Game's 25th Anniversary Celebration, specifically within the 'Classic Collection' subset. This set was designed to pay homage to the game's rich history by reprinting iconic and fan-favorite cards from previous generations, updated with modern holographic treatments and the anniversary stamp. The Scizor ex design originates from the EX Unseen Forces expansion, which was originally published in 2005 during the era when the Nintendo-published game mechanics were heavily focused on the power and defensive capabilities of Pokémon-ex.
The artistic direction for the original Scizor ex reflected the aggressive, metallic aesthetic of the Johto region's Bug and Steel-type representative. By reintroducing this specific iteration for the 25th anniversary, The Pokémon Company sought to evoke nostalgia for players who experienced the mid-2000s competitive meta. The card was well-received by collectors who appreciate the inclusion of the 'ex' mechanic, which significantly influenced the power creep and strategic depth of the TCG during its original release window.
