Where it came from
Released in February 2007 as part of the EX Power Keepers expansion, this Seviper card represents the final set of the EX series era of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. The set focused on iconic Pokémon used by members of the Elite Four and Gym Leaders, drawing inspiration from the Hoenn region games. Its release served as a transition point for the game mechanics before the introduction of the Diamond & Pearl generation.
The card features artwork by Japanese illustrator Masakazu Fukuda, known for his dynamic and often fierce depictions of Pokémon throughout the EX series. The design highlights Seviper's serpentine nature and aggressive aesthetic, consistent with its status as a Rare card within this specific expansion. It was received by players as a solid, mid-tier utility card for Grass-type decks, valued primarily by collectors interested in the completion of the EX-era sets.
