Where it came from
The Seviper card (SV15/94) was released in 2019 as part of the Hidden Fates expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. This set was notable for its inclusion of the 'Shiny Vault,' a special subset consisting of 94 cards featuring unique Shiny variations of Pokémon. The initiative was designed to celebrate the history of the franchise by reintroducing rare, alternate-color versions of creatures, appealing to both long-time fans and competitive collectors.
The design features the signature iridescent, holographic treatment characteristic of the Shiny Vault series, distinguishing it from standard set cards. The artwork captures the vibrant, contrasting color palette of the Shiny Seviper, emphasizing its reptilian aesthetic. Upon its release, the card was well-received within the community for its visual distinctiveness and its role in completing the comprehensive roster of the subset, which became highly regarded for its aesthetic quality.
