Provenance

Where it came from

Sunflora 105/144 was released as part of the Skyridge expansion in 2003. This set was the final release produced by Wizards of the Coast before the Pokémon Trading Card Game license transitioned entirely to The Pokémon Company. As a late-era e-Reader series set, it featured integrated dot-code technology that allowed players to scan the cards into a Game Boy Advance peripheral to unlock digital content.

The card features an illustration by the artist Kyoko Umemoto, whose work captured the whimsical, bright aesthetic common to the Grass-type Pokémon of that era. Despite its common rarity, the card is highly regarded by collectors today due to its association with the short-lived e-Card era and the distinctive layout that characterized the final Wizards of the Coast sets.
