Tarragon

The Tarragon card, indexed as 85/88 within the Perfect Order set, emerged during a period where collectible card games were pivoting toward minimalist, symbolic aesthetic themes. Designed to represent the intersection of botanical lore and strategic utility, the card utilizes a restrained color palette that reflects the clinical, ordered nature of the set's broader thematic vision. It was released as an uncommon entry, intended to provide players with a stable, mid-tier tactical option without disrupting the competitive balance of the core gameplay loop.

Illustrative work for the Perfect Order set was handled by an internal team focused on achieving a high degree of visual uniformity, moving away from the exuberant high-fantasy art styles that dominated the market at the time. The design process prioritized clear iconography and clean lines, emphasizing the card's function within the player's deck. Upon its release, the card received modest acclaim for its understated artwork, though it remains primarily recognized by enthusiasts of the set for its specific role in enabling consistent, defensive play sequences.
