Team Rocket's Great Ball

Team Rocket's Great Ball was introduced as part of the Ascended Heroes expansion, drawing inspiration from the iconic antagonists of the Pokémon franchise. The card design leans into the thematic aesthetic of the Team Rocket organization, utilizing sharp, industrial visual cues that contrast with the more traditional, rounded designs of standard Trainer cards to emphasize the villainous nature of the set.

The card was designed to integrate mechanical utility with narrative flavor, encouraging players to incorporate resource-gathering tactics that mirror the resourceful and often underhanded nature of the Team Rocket group. Upon its release, it was received as a functional addition to the game's mechanics, favored by collectors who appreciate the inclusion of lore-heavy, non-Pokémon cards that flesh out the world-building of the expansion.
