What it does
Choose up to 2 of your Benched Pokémon. For each of those Pokémon, search your deck for a card that evolves from that Pokémon and put it onto that Pokémon to evolve it. Then, shuffle your deck.
The Pokémon this card is attached to can use the attack on this card. (You still need the necessary Energy to use this attack.) If this card is attached to 1 of your Pokémon, discard it at the end of your turn.
You may attach any number of Pokémon Tools to your Pokémon during your turn. You may attach only 1 Pokémon Tool to each Pokémon, and it stays attached.

Where it came from
Technical Machine: Evolution was released in the Paradox Rift expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, which launched globally in November 2023. As a 'Technical Machine' item card, it draws inspiration from the long-standing mechanic in the Pokémon video game series, where players use specialized discs to teach specific moves to their creatures. The card serves as a tactical tool that allows a player to evolve their benched Pokémon, reflecting the theme of accelerated development central to the Paradox Rift set.
The card was illustrated by Toyste Beach, an artist known for clean, digital compositions within the modern TCG aesthetic. The design focuses on the functional, high-tech interface of the machine, emphasizing a sleek, industrial visual language that distinguishes it from the more character-focused artwork found on Pokémon cards. Within the competitive landscape, it was well-received by players for its efficiency in facilitating board states, becoming a staple in various deck builds shortly after its introduction.
