Where it came from
Tyme (143/131) is an ultra-rare illustration card featured in the Scarlet & Violet—Prismatic Evolutions expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Released in early 2025, the set serves as a specialty collection focused on high-rarity variants, including unique art styles that distinguish them from standard base-set releases.
The card depicts Tyme, a character introduced in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet video games as a former Rock-type Gym Leader turned math teacher. The artwork captures a stylized, intimate look at the character that reflects the design philosophy of modern full-art Trainer cards, which prioritize expressive, character-driven storytelling over the traditional combat-centric imagery of earlier generations.
