What it does
Once during your turn (before your attack), if Unown G is on your Bench, you may discard all cards attached to Unown G and attach Unown G to 1 of your Pokémon as a Pokémon Tool card. As long as Unown G is attached to a Pokémon, prevent all effects of attacks, excluding damage, done to that Pokémon.
If Unown G has any damage counters on it, this attack's base damage is 10.
Shaped like ancient writing, it is a huge mystery whether language or UNOWN came first.

Where it came from
Unown [G] was released as part of the Great Encounters expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, which debuted in early 2008. This set was notable for its emphasis on Pokémon that could be found in the Great Marsh or through specific game mechanics in the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl video games. The card features the letter G Unown, a member of the mysterious, alphabet-shaped Pokémon species introduced in the second generation.
The artwork follows the established aesthetic of the Diamond and Pearl era, focusing on clean, illustrative depictions of Pokémon in a consistent card frame. Like other Unown cards in the TCG, this item was designed to integrate into tactical play through its unique Poké-Power, 'Guard,' which allows players to attach it to another Pokémon to provide protection. It remains a functional piece of competitive history from a period where the TCG was refining its mechanics for the Nintendo DS generation.
