What it does
Your opponent switches the Defending Pokémon with 1 of his or her Benched Pokémon.
Its wings are too tiny to allow it to fly. As the time approaches for it to evolve, it discards the bones it was wearing.

Where it came from
Vullaby first appeared in the Pokémon Trading Card Game as part of the Dark Explorers expansion, released internationally in May 2012. This set served as the English adaptation of the Japanese Black & White expansion Dark Rush. The card design highlights Vullaby as a Darkness-type Basic Pokémon, reflecting its evolution line's introduction in the fifth generation of the video games, which debuted on the Nintendo DS.
The artwork for this card was illustrated by sui, a frequent contributor to the Pokémon TCG who often emphasizes the creature's quirky or slightly brooding aesthetic. In this specific depiction, Vullaby is shown within its characteristic bone-themed shell, capturing the scavenger-like nature established in its Pokédex entries. As an uncommon card, it was designed as a functional bridge for players building Darkness-type decks during the mid-Black & White era, favoring mechanical utility over the high-rarity collector appeal of Ultra Rare cards.
