Zekrom-EX

Zekrom-EX 52/113 was released in 2013 as part of the Legendary Treasures expansion in the Pokémon Trading Card Game. This set was unique in the English market for its high concentration of reprinted cards from the Black & White series, specifically focusing on the Radiant Collection and cards that had previously seen limited availability. The inclusion of this card served as a final celebratory look back at the Generation V era before the transition to the XY series.

The card features artwork by Eske Yoshinob, a frequent contributor to the franchise known for a dynamic, high-contrast aesthetic that emphasizes the metallic textures of legendary Pokémon. The design utilizes the EX mechanic, characterized by increased health points and powerful attacks, presented in a full-art holofoil style. Upon release, it was well-regarded by players for its tactical utility in competitive decks and by collectors for its polished, modern illustrative style.
